Matthews Transport was first developed in 1977 by partners Jim & Megan Matthews, based in a small unit with just one vehicle and offering a 24hr service nationwide.

Over the years since then, the Company has grown on its reputation, having had a move in 1992 to much larger wholly owned premises with 25,000 sq. feet warehouse on 2 acre site well situated in North Manchester within 1 mile of the M60 motorway. Taking in more vehicles to deal with the ever-increasing demand for our services. The fleet now consists of 22 vehicles and 20 trailers allowing us to maintain a carefully planned operation and to be competitively priced.

The business is now run by our two sons, Steve and Jason who have experience in all aspects of the transport and warehousing industry.

Our customers range from small local businesses to Blue Chip companies, all of which are provided with the same level of service regardless of size.
